About Woodinville Lacrosse
Woodinville Lacrosse Club founded in 2009, as a local 501c3 nonprofit organization with the purpose to promote & support lacrosse in Woodinville. Doing so in an atmosphere that is consistent with the educational philosophy of the school community. We encourage & support teamwork, discipline & respect for others that comes from participating in athletic competition. We provide financial support for the additional athletic training of our players, coaches, & for the auxiliary equipment that benefits our lacrosse teams. In order to facilitate this, Woodinville Lacrosse Club will organize social and fundraising events for players, coaches & families throughout the year. We promote enthusiastic & positive behavior at lacrosse games, which upholds the highest standards of spirit & sportsmanship. We will also act as liaison between the lacrosse teams, coaches, parents, school administration & the general public.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed in relation to the position. This is not a comprehensive listing of all the responsibilities or tasks; other work may be assigned when deemed appropriate:
The Program Director’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Calendar - Present to board an annual youth and high school calendar including:
· Start and end dates for each season
· Registration dates for each season
· Tournaments or other non-league games or events
· Communication schedule to players, parents, and community
Coaching
· Prepare a coaching roster for each team at youth levels well in advance of each season for Board approval
· Develop and implement coaching development program and coordinated coaching curriculum in collaboration with the Woodinville High School Coach
· Hold periodic coaching clinics as needed
· Ensure each coach understands expectations, relevant rules and guidelines, and safety guidelines.
Player Development & Welfare
· Maintain club outlined health and safety guidelines
· Develop and implement a coordinated player retention and growth plan
· Develop and implement academic expectations at the middle and high school levels
· Develop and implement a coordinated lacrosse awareness and recruiting plan at both the youth and high school levels
· Direct practice and game preparation at all levels in collaboration with Woodinville
Operations
· Coordinate with high school coach to outline and communicate to Director of Field Scheduling
o Operations game and practice field scheduling requirements for each season
· Coordinate with parent volunteer coordinator to outline game and practice support, including scorers, setup, etc.
· Prepare a gear and equipment needs list for program
· Coordinate with Gear and Equipment Coordinator to ensure equipment inventory is current
· Coordinate with Uniform Coordinator to identify and fill uniform program uniform needs
· Work with spirit wear volunteer on Spirit Gear and Spirit Gear website
Inter-Program Relations
· Strengthen relations with neighboring lacrosse programs
· Outreach to lacrosse programs in other areas – i.e. B.C., Oregon, Idaho, etc.
Community Development
· Work with board to handle any player, parent, or coaching concerns
· Provide consistent content to be posted on program website and via appropriate social media including pictures, high lights, and commentary
· Manage the creation of a monthly email newsletter
Fiscal Management
· Manage operations within budget constraints including
o Expenses—Coaching stipends, field rentals, supplies, etc
o Revenue—registration fees, fund raising
· Review budget vs. actual with board quarterly
· Fundraising
· Summer Camp/Summer League
· Be available to present to possible corporate or company sponsors

The Program Director will oversee program operations and development for boys' lacrosse in grades K-8, coordinating with the high school coach for K-12 alignment. Represent the club at league meetings and continue to grow participation in program offerings.
