The Woodinville Lacrosse Club, established in 2010 is dedicated to promoting lacrosse by providing our student athletes the opportunity to learn the fundamentals and develop their skills while fielding competitive teams and honoring the game.

Who is eligible to play in the Woodinville Lacrosse Program? 

A student must be attending Woodinville High School to play at the High School level (please note private school caveats below). For Youth teams, players must live at an address that feeds into Woodinville High School in order to be eligible to participate in the Woodinville Lacrosse Club.

Level of play: Youth players play for the age group they are currently attending in school. We have a K-2, 3-4, 5-6, & 7-8 team structure that aligns with league play. 

Private school: Boys who live within the Woodinville High School boundaries and attend a private school that does not offer a lacrosse program are eligible to play for Woodinville Lacrosse.  re eligible.

These eligibility requirements are determined by the GELL and WHSBLA leagues and there are generally no exceptions.

Is there financial assistance available?

Yes, for Spring registrations only. Please submit your request by January 1st. We offer both payment plans, scholarship assistance, and other opportunities for financial assistance

 

What is your refund policy?

Players who opt out of playing prior to start of season practices refunds will be less 25% administration fee. After the first seasons practice no fees will be refunded. For discounted play, due to a season ending injury refunds will be prorated based on remaining practices/games, less the 25% administration fee.

 

Are all registered athletes automatically given space on a team?

The number of teams is determined annually on the distribution of players within league mandated age groups. Currently we are a no cut sport at the Youth and HS level.

High School players must register with both Woodinville Lacrosse and with WHS. Players must submit all relevant fees, paperwork, and waivers in order to participate

 

When does Lacrosse season start?

In our Spring, main season different age groups start at different times. Our K-8 teams start late January to early February. Our H.S. teams start the last week of February. All ages go till early June

In our Fall preseason, our K-HS teams start early September with all teams going till early December. 

 

Where can I find my game schedule?

K-8 games can be found on the Greater Eastside Lacrosse League website. High School games can be found on the Sportability website. All team schedules can also be found on our website through our TEAMS tab on our homepage.

 

Is Transportation provided to athletes?

Transportation is not typically provided. H. S. and youth parents provide transportation to games. There are exceptions at the H.S. level where bus is provided, these exceptions will be communicated by Coach.

 

Are uniforms provided to athletes?

5th-Varsity athletes can add a practice uniform to keep at registration. Game Uniforms are issued to 5th-Varsity athletes and must be returned at the end of the season. Grades K-4 athletes are provided practice/game uniforms these are kept at end of season. 

 

What equipment is needed?

Grades K-12 Full Equipment: helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, stick, mouth guard, athletic cup. All available at Dicks sporting goods, Hockey/LacrosseWolf, Play It Again Sports, & Online Retail Outlets.

 

Where can I learn about Lacrosse?

A good place to start is the US Lacrosse website. Each January Woodinville Boys Lacrosse offers a lacrosse Parents Informational meeting. This covers the basics, offers an opportunity to answer any questions parents may have. We also offer a score keeper clinic and volunteer training. There are many ways to get informed and involved. 

 

What are ways to volunteer?

Woodinville Boys Lacrosse is run by passionate volunteers who work hard to provide our community the opportunity to play lacrosse. Every parent volunteer is needed, and everyone is committedto help in some way. There are plenty of requests and opportunities for volunteer assistance.

Donations are appreciated and support the continued growth and success of Woodinville Boys Lacrosse. You are also providing opportunities to foster growth in our community.
